Resources are available to all interested families, friends and professionals.  Many of the people in our group have experiences with professionals in the community and are a valuable resource with whatever needs may arise.  Some of the areas of information available are:
  • Local educational and support services
  • Early intervention services
  • Medical referrals
  • Health care guidelines
  • Recommended reading lists
  • National Down Syndrome Congress
  • National Down Syndrome Society
  • Resources available on the Internet

Parent members are also available for home and hospital visits to provide support for parents after the diagnosis of Down syndrome.  Please send an email to DSSW to request information or assistance.

As individuals with Down Syndrome reach adulthood, many families are faced with finding resources for their adult family member with Down Syndrome. Now at the University of Kansas Medical Center, you can access a variety of services and resources through the new Adults with Down Syndrome Specialty Clinic.
